We are pleased to inform you that a new version of MadeToTag is immediately available.

MadeToTag version 3.3.136 contains comprehensive improvements and fixes to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. In particular, significant adjustments have been made to the “footnote linking” feature in MadeToTag task 7.

• Reworked “link footnote” feature in order to eliminate a number of issues:
  • Fixed an instance of “Internal error when applying Footnotes to PDF”
  • Fixed an issue where footnote link always has English text
  • Fixed a bug where hyphens were missing when using “link footnotes”
• Fixed the way that footnotes are linked:
  • Only link to the footnote reference, which helps with links in footnotes
  • Add footnote content to link alternate text
  • Don’t change zoom factor when clicking the footnote reference
• Fixed a bug where first list bullet point or number was hidden when using “Optimize anchored frames” or “Link footnotes”
• Fixed a couple of bugs when working with table tagging:
  • After enabling and disabling the “Highlight table cells” colors in tables were not correct
  • Article Preview did not show table tagging correctly
• Added an option to embed resources before export to avoid low res images
• Fixed a bug where PDF post processing engine was not available in task 7 (version shown as “[]”)
• Fixed a bug where text was shifted when lists used a specific set of character style options

• Updated Style Sheet Overview to include our custom export tags (Caption, BlockQuote, Index), also H6 was missing
• Metadata and alt text review did not list object groups with alternate text (fixed)
• Updated Style Sheet overview to use PDF tags (not ePub)
• Problem locator fixes:
  • Find forced line breaks returns did not work with specific GREP search preferences (fixed)
  • Allow user to choose how to fix forced line breaks
  • Keep zoom factor when jumping to finds
• UI improvements, e.g.:
  • Adding Keyboard Shortcuts for switching table modes
  • After changing the PDF export tag, dropdowns are updated properly
