What started as a small but nice tool, has now developed into a very practical and effective solution for creating accessible PDFs from Adobe InDesign: MadeToTag. Many satisfied customers appreciate MadeToTag as it saves an enormous amount of time, helps avoiding errors, eliminates tedious post-processing in Acrobat, and delivers high-quality results.
MadeToTag increases productivity effectively through intuitive controls and gives a practical overview while working. Time-consuming problems with the PDF export feature of InDesign are solved in the background - without any user effort. Some functions such as complex tables, anchored frames, or automatically generated tables of contents - for entire InDesign books too – only become possible thanks to MadeToTag.
The PDFs created with MadeToTag are fully compliant with the in 2012 internationally published standard PDF/UA (UA stands for universal accessibility) and the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2) which were translated into rules for accessible PDFs. The soon to be available new edition of Section 508 from the United States is explicitly committed to compliance with the PDF/UA standard.
After a very long introductory period we will – also due to the enormous increase in functionality – adjust the pricing for MadeToTag as of January 2017. This means for you:
Note for Updates: Several times per year Adobe publishes updates for InDesign CC. Usually, this does not affect the functionality of MadeToTag. However, every 12 to 18 months, Adobe releases a major InDesign update requiring a new MadeToTag plug-in. In this case MadeToTag customers must purchase a paid update if they want to upgrade to the new Adobe version (unless they have an active support and maintenance contract).
Note for support and maintenance contracts: Customers with an active support and maintenance contract will receive premium support and all - even otherwise paid - updates at no extra cost. A support and maintenance contract has to be purchased together with the license purchase but may be terminated annually.
Promotion: Until the end of this year, i.e. until December 31, 2016, you can still buy MadeToTag at € 149. Updates will be free of charge until the end of 2017 (i.e. December 31, 2017).
What are you waiting for? Buy MadeToTag for € 149 instead of € 599 now!
For existing MadeToTag customers the ongoing update rule remains the same until the end of next year (until December 31, 2017): The next major update of Adobe InDesign CC after the MadeToTag purchase is free, the subsequent update is chargeable. Until December 31, 2017 the upgrade fee is € 75. As of January 1, 2017, customers who have purchased MadeToTag before December 31, 2016, can get a support and maintenance contract for € 119.80 per year to obtain future upgrades and premium support at no additional cost. All prices quoted are excluding VAT.
